How to make a photo QR code

Guest Album is a free shared photo album for weddings, birthdays, trips and any get-together, where everyone adds their photos from a link or a QR code, with no app or sign-up.

  1. Name the album

    Type the name of the event and a welcome line. You don't need an account for this part.

  2. Save it and get the code

    Press Save album. You sign in at that step, with Google or an email code.

  3. Print the sign or send the link

    Put the printed sign where people gather, or paste the album link into a chat.

  4. Watch the photos come in

    Every scan opens the same album, and the new photos show up there while people are still adding them.

One album for every phone and file

  • Any phone camera opens the album

    The camera on an iPhone or an Android phone reads the code, and the album opens in the browser with nothing to install.

  • Large files go in whole

    Photos up to 40 MB go in as they are, and so do videos up to 400 MB on Plus and Premium, which give you the original files in the ZIP.

  • Every photo carries a name

    Each photo shows who added it, and so does its file name in the ZIP.

Questions people ask

Is this photo sharing tool really free?

Yes. Making the code and collecting 100 photos with it costs nothing, and there is no trial that runs out. Videos and more photos are one payment for that album, never a subscription. Nobody who scans the code sees an ad, so you can print it on anything without a bill waiting later.

Does the code expire?

The code itself never changes. It opens the album to guests for a month after the first guest adds a photo, three months on Plus and a year on Premium. After that the album closes to guests, and a plan bought later opens the same code again, so a printed sign keeps working.

Can I put the code on my own invitation?

Yes. Download it as a PNG image 1024 pixels wide and place it in any design tool, Canva included. Or print the sign the album makes, which already carries the album's name and a line asking people to add their photos.

Can people see each other's photos?

Yes, by default everyone who opens the album sees every photo in it. You can switch that off so each person sees only their own photos. Or turn on review in the album settings and approve each photo before anyone else sees it.
