What is a QR code guest album?
A QR code guest album is one shared online album for a wedding, a birthday or any event. You put its QR code on the tables or on a sign, guests scan it with their phone camera, and their photos and videos land in the album. Guest Album makes one for free, and guests install nothing.
Is Guest Album free?
Yes. Guest Album is free for hosts and guests. Creating an album, collecting photos and videos, the slideshow and the ZIP download cost nothing, and there are no ads. As the host you sign in with Google or an email code when you save the album, so it stays yours. Guests never pay and never sign up.
Do guests need an app or an account?
No. Guests scan the QR code with their phone camera and the album opens in the browser. They type a first name once, then pick photos and videos from their camera roll or take a new photo. There is nothing to install and no account or password to create.
Are the photos compressed?
No. Guest Album keeps every file exactly as your guest picked it, up to 40 MB for a photo and 400 MB for a video. The album shows a lighter preview so it loads fast on a phone, and your download contains the original files at full resolution.
Who can see the album?
Anyone with the link or the QR code can open it, and search engines are asked not to list it. You can review new photos before other guests see them, hide or remove any photo, let each guest see only their own uploads, and close uploads when the event ends.
How do I download all the photos?
From your album, download one ZIP file with the photos and videos at full size, up to 5,000 files. Guests can also save photos from the album unless you turn that off in the album settings.
How long does an album stay online?
Until you delete it. Guest Album sets no expiry date, so the album keeps working for as long as you want it. Deleting an album removes its photos, videos and guest names, and deleting your account does that for every album you made.
Which languages does Guest Album work in?
Guest Album works in 34 languages, including English, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese and Japanese. Each guest sees the album in their phone's language automatically, so one QR code works for a family spread across countries. Your own title and welcome line stay as you wrote them.
